Discuss about the birth and evolution of smart watches.

For this coursework we are to identify how the introduction of a new item of
technology or technological process was successfully implemented by the use of
appropriate management techniques. I have personally chosen smart watches. The report title will be The birth and evolution of smart watches. Here’s how it is supposed to be structured:

Selection of Research Topic
• Description of Technological Innovation
• Context and environment of use
• Description of way in which technological change was implemented
• Critical evaluation of way in which stakeholders’ needs were fulfilled
• Likely future development
• Conclusion

What were the most important factors behind Starbucks decline in 2007 and 2008?

Individual case assignment guidelines
Starbucks Coffee Company: Transformation and renewal
Syllabus guidance

The individual assignment must be approximately 2,500 words written from the perspective of the
decision maker plus optional appendices on a decision situation. A student’s work must be clearly
supported and appendices must be referenced within the text to be considered valid components of the
report. References should be limited to the case, lecture materials, and readings (including those
assigned prior to the case’s due date). The assignment will be evaluated based on the extent to which
the guiding questions are addressed, the coverage of relevant course and case material, the quality and
soundness of responses to the questions, and the clarity of the report.

Additional guidance
Your submission should provide the following types of analyses (this list is not comprehensive):
• an external analysis of the industry environment to understand the firm’s competitive position and
opportunities;
• an internal analysis of the firm to identify its resources, capabilities, and core competencies;
• an analysis of the fit between the firm’s competencies and its strategic choices;
• an analysis of the organization’s design (structure, people, rewards, and processes for decision
support), and its offshoot (culture);
• an analysis of the alignment among the elements of organizational design; and
• an analysis of the strategic leadership of the firm.

Guiding questions

These questions are provided to help structure your analysis of the case — DO NOT ANSWER THESE
QUESTIONS. Think about these questions as you read and understand the issues facing the firm and the
alternatives available.

1. What were the most important factors behind Starbucks decline in 2007 and 2008? How much of
this did Schultz see in 2007? In 2008? Which factors were less obvious?

2. What were the most important aspects of Starbucks transformation? Why did these matter to the
survival and transformation of the company? How generalizable are such initiatives in the broader
context of business turnarounds?

3. What do you think Schultz means when he says that Starbucks is “redefining the role of a for-profit
company”? What do you make of Schultz’s take on corporate responsibility, and its impact on the
bottom line?

Describe one of your recent posts on social media and analyze it using Goffman’s concepts: how were you using impression management?

Welcome to Discussion Board #6, where we will discuss social interaction and the documentary “The Social Dilemma.”
Some people feel like they can be someone else online, and others feel that their online presence is a true representation of who they are. Here are the prompts for this week’s discussion:
1) How have modern communication technologies (e.g., cell phone, social media, etc.) changed social interaction in our society? Do you think these changes are positive or negative? Give an example and reflect.
2) Describe one of your recent posts on social media and analyze it using Goffman’s concepts: how were you using impression management? Who was the main audience you were communicating to?
Your post should be 250-350 words. Create a new thread to answer these questions, and the deadline is: 11:59 pm, Fri. Mar. 11

What are their arguments surrounding youth/adolescence?

Write a paper Inhuman treatment that underestimates liberty and security is the result of flawed immigration detestation policy.

Write a paper Inhuman treatment that underestimates liberty and security is the result of flawed immigration detestation policy. Your introduction ought to present your informed point of view on the topic, or issue to be explored in the essay. Provide the reader with the necessary information to understand your paper (i.e. identify important connections, explain key terms, etc.), and indicate the order in which your paper will proceed. This will help the reader know what to expect. Tip: The introduction is where you set the tone and parameters of your paper. Don’t waste the opportunity to make a good first impression! Communicate clearly, and precisely so that your reader knows what to expect, and why they should keep reading.
2. This is an analytical paper, not a descriptive one (i.e. not just a restatement of information found as part of your research). Use your sources and the information that you found in service of developing and defending your informed point of view. Ask yourself: how has this challenged, or helped me develop my point of view? Be sure that you can account for the material that you have included. Avoid including material arbitrarily (i.e. random references, or quotes that are not explained or discussed in relation to the point of view you are putting forward in your paper). This will only create confusion and open your essay to greater scrutiny.
3. Be sure that you are always clear and precise. The reader should never be confused about what you mean, where you are getting information from, or how things connect. It is your job to ensure you are communicating effectively. Take time to review and edit carefully.

Discuss the Internal Influences of Motivation and Attitudes, and highlight at least 2 different Figures or Tables from Chapters 4 and 8 (2 for Motivation and 2 for Attitudes) that you think represents the most important insight into each influence.

The final exam will cover the following chapters in your textbook: 4,5,6,7,8,14.

Your answer to each question cannot exceed 2 pages in Word (I am assuming you will be using single-spacing). Your answer can be shorter than 2 pages, but I would recommend that you use the full 2 pages to indicate to me that you have acquired as much information as possible. The best advice I can give you to ensure a high grade on your Final Exam is to use the 2 full pages to answer each question. You should make sure that your exam is no longer than a total of 8 pages in a Word document.

Answer the following questinn

Discuss the Internal Influences of Motivation and Attitudes, and highlight at least 2 different Figures or Tables from Chapters 4 and 8 (2 for Motivation and 2 for Attitudes) that you think represents the most important insight into each influence.
First of all, discuss The Diffusion of Innovations from Chapter 14. Label all parts of the process and explain each one. Next, I would like you to use that process to explain how and why Tesla has been so successful.
Using the 5 Values Consumer Choice Model as a strategic framework, I would like you to discuss how VW will be able to compete with Tesla successfully with their new electric SUV (Model ID.4).
Go through each of the 5 Values in the Consumer Choice Model that you used for your research study and explain how anyone of the Internal Influences is connected to it. For example, you can explain how Motivation is connected to the Functional Value, and how Perception is connected to the Social Value, etc.
