The Time When create a story in fragments

“The Time When”. Length: each microstory in the 250-300 word range(total 800-1000 words total). Include an extra space between each microstory to indicate their separateness. Include a title. You’re welcome to give each microstory a title but not required. Focus on the 3 unique and specific moments–zoom in to avoid generalizing. Provide enough background information for your audience to understand within the limited space of the essay. Include clear, concise, and specific descriptions. Illustrate each scene using detail, dialogue, setting and vivid sensory details. Keep reflection to a minimum. Give the audience a clear feeling of the events effect on the authors life. We should all be able to describe what the stories represent for the author. Maintain a consistent verb tense and point of view. Make sure your sentences are functional and have a varied structure and length.

Career searches/letters and IAS learning goals

Part 1: Career searches/letters (up to 15 of 40 points)
Instructions: Follow the “Career searches” steps. Then write a “Career letter,” and submit the letter as a one-page document to this Canvas assignment page. This is done in order to demonstrate the cover-letter conventions.
Warning: Part 1 looks like a LOT of things to do. However, rest assured. The materials are all useful. They provide context and resources and options. In the end though, you are only writing a one-page career letter for Part 1.
Learn more about career searches
The Career Center workshop engaged you with online materials to frame this Part 1 activity. Make sure to budget the time you need to conduct searches for jobs, volunteer experiences, graduate school, or other next-step plans. These should be realistic. In other words, find opportunities that you could do with your degree and background.
Not one-size-fits-all: You are all at different places in preparing for what is next. Some of you have post-graduation careers in place, know the service or volunteer work you will be doing, or accepted to graduate school. Some of you are unsure and/or anxious about what you will be doing post-graduation. Still others of you are someplace else. No matter your position, many of you would benefit from searching for career options and then practicing the conventions of a cover letter. Do your best to find a way to make this useful to where you are at.
These letters require an evidence-based argument about why you are a good fit for the opportunity. Make evidence-based arguments about what you are interested in and capable of doing. What is an evidence-based argument? These are clear statements about your capacities/skills/abilities/knowledge that become linked to examples or artifacts. For example, you would not just say, “I am a skilled contributor to and leader in teamwork situations.” Instead you would say, “My work in ____ shows I have these skills because ___.”
Searching strategies
For all of these, you might use LinkedIn to learn more about the people connected to an organization or industry.
For all of these, make sure to locate the physical mailing address and the full name of the person to whom you address your letter. You might say you do not need this information. However, you do because you are writing a formal cover letter for this assignment (even if you apply via an online form). The Career workshop pointed you to strategies for getting the contact name AND the mailing information.
Write a career letter
Follow the conventions of the Full Time Position Cover Letter (Links to an external site.) sample (uwb.edu/careers/job-search-tools/coverletters). This example is for a traditional job application. If you choose a different kind of letter to write, modify it to align with whatever opportunity you want to speak to. No matter your choice, make sure to keep the letter to one page. This is to practice the convention of most cover letters for positions available to recent graduates.

Should Education be Cheaper?

This literature review is to be submitted electronically under ‘assignments’ on Blackboard and will be automatically screened for academic integrity using SafeAssign. For the due date, follow the critical path.
This assignment aims to systematically synthesize the existing body of research published in academic sources. Focus on the literature related to your research topic and research question(s). When reading your sources, try to understand their themes, patterns, and connections to each other. Make sure that you are not summarizing each article instead of synthesizing it. Remember, “A literature review is a comprehensive summary of ideas, issues, approaches, and research findings that have been published on a particular subject area or topic” (Kiteley & Stogdon, 2014, p. 9).
Instructions:
Write a 500 to 750 words literature review on the topic you have selected. Use a 12 – point font, 1-inch margin, Arial or Times New Roman, and double-spaced the paper. You must reference all ideas and information according to the APA Manual 7th edition. Please note: an in-text citation is required when you paraphrase or use a quotation. Your in-text citations must match with the reference page.
What you need to do:
1. Select a particular research topic that interests you the most.
2. Develop at least one tentative research question (A research question is a
straightforward, focused, concise, complex, and arguable question around which
you center your research. Your RQ serves as a mini-outline for your paper).
3. Find five scholarly articles on a topic of your choice that use qualitative (mainly)
and quantitative research methods.
4. Write how each article contributes to understanding the topic you have chosen (compare and contrast).
5. Connect the articles to your research question(s); find out the strengths and challenges of previous research approaches (what methods and approaches worked or did not work).
6. Find gaps, inconsistencies, or problems in the articles and how it still needs to be addressed on the topic.
7. Compare and contrast the different arguments, theories, methodologies, and past studies’ findings (whenever possible). You can have a paragraph under each theme (if you prefer).
8. Critique the literature (do not criticize), write which arguments are more persuasive and why?
9. Conclude your literature review with the main findings from the articles you reviewed and underline the critical point to answer your research questions. Conclude your literature review section with an emphatic restatement of your study’s central research questions (goals).
