As we have discussed there are five elements of music with which composers and songwriters create emotion (melody, harmony, pulse, soundscape and form). For details, see unit one document, at first link below.

We have also discussed that there are at least 11 functions of music in film.

1) Compare and contrast the use of melody and soundscape, in the following clips.

2) Make note of and describe 3 of the music functions of in each of the following two film excerpts.

As noted in your Midterm, various strategic challenges were identified and found within the Department of Homeland Security’s 2014 Quadrennial Homeland Security Review. For this assignment, you are to select one of these six listed risks to focus upon. Regarding the strategic challenge you have selected, explain the nature of the threat and the specific challenges it poses to the nation. Also, fully explain what steps the Federal government has/is implementing in order to meet this challenge. State and include the topic question in your paper.

NOAA SeaGrant is a governmental program established to “maintain a healthy coastal environment and economy.” (Links to an external site.) This program has field offices in every coastal state to network with researchers and communities. They complete their own research, but also provide governmental funding to support research efforts throughout these states. Most funding decisions involve community stakeholder input to determine what projects seem most important to provide support to.
Your local SeaGrant office has asked for your stakeholder input to review projects on marine mammal and seabird taxonomic groups. – Be sure to discuss government created by BOTH constitutions. Do not just talk about government under the Articles of Confederation and why it was replaced. You still need to then discuss the structure and powers of government created by the new Constitution and how was it different from government under the Articles?
– Organize your answer into several paragraphs with an introduction paragraph, a few body paragraphs, and conclusion. Try to show you understand how government looked institutionally (structure) and what its parts could do (powers) under each constitution.
