Discussion topic (due Week 7): Online Learning Options
In search of better, more cost effective ways to deliver instruction and training, universities and corporations have expanded their use of e-learning. Several studies suggest that online education and blended instruction (a “blend” of online and traditional approaches) can be as effective as traditional classroom models. There is no “one size fits all” model in this realm, however this delivery model is being used more and more to serve the needs of various groups of students recognizing it is not for all students.
In your opinion, would/could Home bound students (students who are restricted from attending “traditional” school due to illness, behavior, or other situations) at the middle/high school level benefit from this delivery model?
1. Please explain why/why not;
2. What is needed to make it a viable delivery option;
3. Would you implement this model in your current situation? Why/why not ??
Be sure to cite your sources within the text of your response.

Write an essay base on my orginial work.
I saw this smoking advertisement posted on Twitter by the anti-smoking campaign of TheTruth.com. And the purpose of the persuasive statement is to persuade people to stop smoking by educating them about the dangers of smoking. The person laying there is definitely dead and instead of the morgue tag they use to identify cadavers, it’s a tag that says “Smoking kills”. “Smoking kills” is a simple statement that sends a powerful message to everyone, telling them in two strong words that if they continue to smoke, they will die. Also, the design of the tag is similar to the design of a box of Marlboro Cigarettes, a popular brand of cigarettes in the United States. To be honest, I see a lot of people using this brand around me, and I’ve noticed that men prefer the red box of Marlboro Cigarettes while women prefer the yellow box.
Pathos is a persuasive strategy that uses emotions to persuade an audience. The senses, memory, and shared experience are all used in pathos advertising strategies. The phrase “Smoking Skills” implies a special appeal to emotion or pathos, in which the audience’s heartstrings are tugged, causing them to feel guilty and fearful. Because people are generally afraid of death, it relies on fear to get people to stop smoking/warmed non-smokers start to smoke. This clearly indicates that the person died as a result of smoking, which is the worst outcome possible for someone who continues to smoke. People think of a dead person on the ground as a symbol, and it symbolizes that smoking is like poison, and that significant aspects of their lives can be adversely affected by cigarette smoking.
Logos is a persuasive strategy that uses logic and reason to persuade an audience. Logos examples in advertising include the citing of statistics, facts, charts, and graphs, also known as “the logical appeal. Moreover, this advertisement is not only emotional/ pathos but also appeals to logic/ logos. As shown in the advertisement’s picture, it also includes factual information such as the following: Approximately 440000 Americans die each year from diseases related to smoking. 90% of them started as teen smokers. It gives a fact in this advertisement that I really like about how many people die from smoking, and if the audience sees a dead body and learns that thousands of people die from smoking, they will be scared and either not try smoking or stop it.

HOSPITAL CONSORTIUM
1. Discuss the differences between Quality Improvement, Nursing Research, and Evidence-Based Practice. Hint: consider the development of a table to depict the differences.
Research can be defined as the systematic investigation of a solution for a problem. Evidence-based practice can be defined as the formulation of research evidence to support Nursing practice. Quality improvement can be defined as improving the quality of content by analysis and evaluation. The difference between these three concepts is that research is used to find a solution to Nursing problems, EBP is used to provide evidence to support the nursing care provided. At the same time, quality improvement is the measure taken to improve the quality of nursing practice.
As the EBP, Research, and QI committee gets started, one of the committee’s first tasks is to create guidelines to help you decide whether an issue requires an EBP, nursing research, or QI approach. Discuss why these topics might be challenging to differentiate from one another and how the nursing staff and students should decide which process(es) to use.
Discuss the differences between Quality Improvement, Nursing Research, and EBP • Include references as appropriate to support the overview.

Debris Disk Hunter
Project Description
Use the Disk Detective project to identify the disks around nearby stars where planets may be forming.
Go to https://whttps://www.zooniverse.org/projects/ssilverberg/disk-detective/classify (links to an external site) (Links to an external site.)
Select the “Tutorial” tab. For each potential planet host, you will press the ‘play’ button to click through a few images of the same star taken with different telescopes. You can manually click through the images using the round buttons on the bottom. You will be asked to identify if the star has a suitable debris disk around it (if the disk is round and contained within the outer circle in all the telescope images), or to identify potential spikes or image artifacts, or if the image extends beyond the circles. Pay attention to the name of the telescope in the top of the image, as this will help you identify potential problems with the images.
After completing the tutorial, analyze 5 potential stars. Take screenshots of all the telescope images for your candidate star (12 per task), to help justify your classification of the potential debris disk.
What to Include in your Project Submission
Include a single image, which is a collage of the 12 images for each of your five potential debris disks. You should have a total of 5×12 images combined in your submission. For each of the 5 potential debris disks, mark the image that was most useful in determining your classification of the disk.
The answers to the below reflection questions for each of your potential debris disks.
