I need an essay of a particular theoretical point of view (i.e., reader response, archetypal, feminist, or postcolonial) on the book of Lullabies for little criminals. The thesis in the essay should clearly state what literary theory it is employing and what aspect(s) of it will be demonstrated in the novel. You must have a minimum of five secondary sources cited in your essay in MLA format. Be sure to include proper in-text citations and a separate Works Cited page. TOPIC: REDUCTION IN YOUTH TRUANCY

Purpose
The purpose of this assignment is to develop the skill of presenting a program or project from an evaluation perspective. Write a brief report of 500 – 600 words, excluding the conceptual framework, that addresses the topics below.
A. Background on the public problem
You may use one of the article readings for this week, or choose your own public problem that you would like to evaluate. You may wish to include additional resources to supplement the information provided in the readings.
Ordinarily, the section would require an in-depth analysis of the problem. For purposes of this assignment, assume others have completed this in-depth analysis. Your job is to provide a brief summary describing the public problem that the intervention is designed to address.
B. Objectives of the program (project)
This section identifies what the objectives the program is hoping to achieve. Try to identify 3 -5 objectives and why they are important to addressing the public program.
C. Description of the intervention intended to achieve the objectives
This section explains to the reader the different activities that will be carried out with the aim of achieving the program objectives. This information is important for understanding the program and (later) designing the process evaluation. For the purposes of this assignment, limit the description to a summary overview.
D. Design of a conceptual framework that shows how the intervention is expected to achieve the objectives (logic model)
This section is the logic model part of this weeks assignments. You may complete you logic model on a different project, but I think it would be easier to do them on the same project. This part may be submitted with the rest of the assignment, but it will be graded separately. See the Logic Model assignment notes for more details.

You will prepare and submit an annotated Webography outlining seven (7) Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) resource/response/counter-proliferation websites. Attached are the following documents to assist you in being set up for success for this assignment:
1. Document titled “What is a Webography?”
2. A generic Webography example titled “Webography Example” that will give you a good overview of what a complete Webography looks like.
3. A template example titled “Webography WMD Example” that will give you a glimpse to the start of what yours should look like.
Additional Guidance/Tips:
The websites may be federal, state, local, commercial, or private
Don’t forget that you are reviewing website do not pick documents on website, that will not meet the intent of the assignment
Catch the reader’s attention with dynamic photos (don’t forget to cite under them to give credit if they are not from the specific website you are reviewing. For example, on the cover page, you might use a picture you randomly found on the internet — make sure you cite to give credit where you got the picture)
When you use pictures in your document, don’t forget to compress them (this is an option under “Picture Tools” and select “Compress Pictures” and uncheck “Apply only to this picture” in order to compress all the pictures in your document. Also select “E-mail (96ppi)” for best way to upload your work (note the steps may be different depending on what version of Word you are using)
Don’t just tell what the selected website is about — explain what the strengths and weaknesses are that you identified
Don’t forget the Table of Contents
Don’t forget the Introduction — tell the reader what you are going to cover
Don’t forget the Conclusion — tell the reader the key points of what you told them
Finding the unique websites can make the assignment more interesting this takes some effort. Don’t be afraid to think outside the box
Don’t cut and paste from the website — put things in your own words. If you summarize the website material, then I would not expect to see a citation as I will equate that you are relating the material to the website you are reviewing
If you use a direct material, then it is expected that you cite correctly and use quotation marks and the appropriate citation (look in the Lesson area of the course if you need help with APA citing style). You will have an extra page at the end of your Assignment that is a Reference List (and needs to be in APA style). It will include all citations for your web pages and any addition references that you use.
Don’t forget your APA requirements, i.e. Running Head, parenthetical citations, References page, etc.
Technical Requirements
Type in Times New Roman and 12 point.
Students will follow the current APA Style as the sole citation and reference style used in written work submitted as part of coursework.
Points will be deducted for the use of Wikipedia or encyclopedic type sources. It is highly advised to utilize books, peer-reviewed journals, articles, archived documents, etc.
All submissions will be graded using the assignment rubric.

Directions: The objective of these scenarios is to exercise your research and writing skills. These example scenarios are basic types of collection and reporting requests that competitive analysts field from their managers/clients every day. BOOK REVIEW REQUIREMENTS

Part 1: Introduction

An introductory paragraph must have introductory remarks and a clearly stated thesis.

The thesis must answer the question of why this book is or is not a useful tool for a historian. For example, the thesis might look something like this:

In the book( be specific) the author (be specific) fails/succeeds in proving her/his thesis (be specific). This failure/success is due to (be specific).

Keep in mind the requirements of a good history book: argument, evidence, logic, sources, etc.

Part 2: Content Report

Summarize the content (and, if appropriate, the organization) of the book. This is the “report” part of the review.

Part 3: Analysis of the book

This section should analyze specific examples from the book to prove the thesis of your review, not the thesis of the book

Questions to consider when analyzing a book include (but are not limited to): Does the author prove her/his thesis? Does the author use and cite specific examples and good sources? Is the author’s analysis logical and persuasive? Is the author’s writing clear and comprehensible?

Part 4: Peer Evaluation

This section will require you to conduct research to discover what other historians have said, positively or not, about your author, and more specifically, the book in question. This aspect is important, for it is vital that you understand not only your own opinion of the book, but the opinions of other professional historians.

Part 5: Conclusion

Do you recommend this book to other historians? If so, why; if not, why not?

Additional criteria:

Paper length is 5 full pages
Paper should be double-spaced
Paper should have 1-inch margins
Paper should be 12-point font in Times New Roman
You should have a bibliography and in-text citations OR footnotes
You can use either APA OR MLA styles

In each lecture the professor will introduce a historical narrative about an interaction between the U.S. and a part of the African continent. These lectures will give examples from regional, national and individual experiences. The weekly short papers will require students to chose ONE (1) historical document from the Hypothesis exercises (if students find a different document they wish to use they need to get permission from the professor first). In the short paper, the students must:
Explain their understanding of the historical narrative for the event/topic of the document based on lectures, class discussions, films, and primary source documents read for the topic students choose. Please cite in the paper from where you are drawing your evidence [reading, lecture, document, podcast, film, etc].
Then the student should explain the historical document they are analyzing and how it relates to that narrative does it confirm the narrative and if so how? Does it contradict the narrative why and how? Or does it add nuance to the framework of the narrative and give more explanation and if so how and why?
The point of this exercise is to think about how historians, journalists, filmmakers, and others create historical narratives about topics. How does our western centered perspective shape our approach to the narratives and information? How might African narratives of events differ from people in the U.S.? These are questions that should underlie your approach to the short papers. The papers should be 2 pages.

Essay prompt: How can we use sustainable viewpoint (ideas/concepts/methodologies/values) to convey/analyze the roots and impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, and to comprehend how the world responded to it? What can we learn from the pandemic to help us achieve our sustainability goals?

It is expected to use mainly journalistic sources but also some academic sources.

Please use as many sources as needed.
