Medicare and Medicaid

Consider how people qualify to receive Medicare and/or Medicaid and write a paper that addresses the bullets below. There should be four (4) sections in your paper; one for each bullet below. Separate each section in your paper with a clear brief heading that allows your professor to know which bullet you are addressing in that section of your paper. Start your paper with an introduction and include a Conclusion section that summarizes all topics.
This week reflect upon the Medicare and Medicaid programs to address the following:
Describe the Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) and explain how the QIO improves policies and healthcare for Medicare beneficiaries.
Briefly define the qualifications for Medicare and Medicaid benefits. How can qualifications be modified to serve more people who are considered a vulnerable population?
Discuss the impact (including at least two positive and two negative aspects) that the ACA has had on benefits and coverage for Medicare and Medicaid recipients.
Describe your role(s) as a healthcare leader as it applies to the practice of advocating for cost effective care for vulnerable populations.

Holistic Care in Advanced Practice Nursing

Holistic care refers to approaches and interventions that address the needs of the whole person: body, mind, emotion, and spirit. Consider the following case study:
You are caring for a first-time mother in a health clinic. While assessing the woman, you notice she is becoming visibly upset. When you ask, she notes that her mother, with whom she was very close, died last year and that she really would have loved to have shared this pregnancy with her. You empathize with the patient, as your own mother just died 6 months ago. She also notes that she and her partner have been bickering a lot lately on top of her feeling generally sore, tired, and overwhelmed.
Define holistic care in your own words. Describe four ways you can implement a holistic nursing approach to care and facilitate healing. In addition, you may consider the intersection of holistic care and caritas principles from Jean Watsons Theory of Human Caring/Caring Science from Week 1.

Decisions based on Ethics and Morals

Current legal and health care issues (use of medical marijuana, genomics, abortion, etc.) may create ethical and moral issues for the health care organization. Choose and identify an issue that may create ethical and moral issues for a faith-based organization.
Examine the mission, vision, values and ethics of a faith-based health care organization and analyze the principles of the health care organization to propose how this organization may stand on a current legal and health care issue (please identify the issue you have chosen).
Find at least 2 articles from the library that discuss the controversy of this issue that may be used to support the organizations stance on this issue.
Prepare a 3-4-page position statement or white paper not including title page and reference page that states the position of the health care organization for this issue.
Please submit your assignment.
