Sire proposes a theistic response to the eight worldview questions he raises and develops a biblically based worldview. It is through this sort of worldview that he understands and operates in the world. Of course, he is not the only voice we hear when it comes to understanding and operating in the world. As alluded to in Washatkas essay from week one, we rely on many sources when it comes to developing our worldview. Those sources include popular media, as represented by television, music, and books. All media has a worldview, and tells us, either implicitly or explicitly, about that worldview.
Respond
Evaluate a movie, television show, song, or book and summarize its worldview.
Look beyond the characters, plot, script, and lyrics.
Comment on how you think at least one of the eight worldview questions would be answered.

At least 2 sources, one from this weeks reading and one from your own research.

After reading over the prompt for the second essay and reviewing Chapter 7 in the OER, which discusses general principles of outlining an essay, discuss what you have chosen to review for the second essay.
Note: Chapter 16, Evaluations also provides an example of how to outline/organize an evaluation essay. The terminology in this chapter is more specific to this type of essay, so you may find it more useful than Chapter 7. Answer these questions in your initial post:
What do you plan to evaluate?
How do you categorize the service or good you plan to review? (What type of restaurant? what genre of movie or film? what type of app?)
What are important criteria for the above good or service? (If it’s a movie, what traits make it enjoyable? If it’s a restaurant, what drew you to it? If it’s an app, what features make it useable?)
What outside source will help you to expand and support your reasons?
Check out what they plan to review, and you can discuss some criteria that you think are important to that good or service. In addition, you could help the writer with examples of good outside sources to consider. Help each other. This will forum will help you work through your ideas about the paper, so participate and read what your peers have to say.

Chapter 6: Drafting Strategies
I
f you think a blank sheet of paper or a blinking cursor on the computer screen is a scary sight, you are not alone. The textbook English for Business Success states that many writers, students, and employees find that beginning to write can be intimidating. When faced with a blank page, however, experienced writers remind themselves that writing, like other everyday activities, is a process. Every process, from writing to cooking, bike riding, and learning to use a new cell phone, will become significantly easier with practice.
Just as you need a recipe, ingredients, and proper tools to cook a delicious meal, you also need a plan, resources, and adequate time to create a good written composition. In other words, writing is a process that requires following steps and using strategies to accomplish your goals.
These are the five steps in the writing process:
1. Prewriting
2. Outlining the structure of ideas
3. Writing a rough draft
4. Revising
5. Editing
Effective writing can be simply described as good ideas that are expressed well and arranged in the proper order. This chapter will give you the chance to work on all these important aspects of writing. Using the strategies in this chapter can help you overcome the fear of the blank page and confidently begin the writing process.
Prewriting
Prewriting is the stage of the writing process where you transfer your abstract thoughts into more concrete ideas in ink on paper (or in type on a computer screen). Although prewriting techniques can be helpful in all stages of the writing process, the following four strategies are best used when initially deciding on a topic:
1. Using experience and observations
2. Reading
3. Freewriting
4. Asking questions
In addition to understanding that writing is a process, writers also understand that choosing a good general topic for an assignment is an essential step. Sometimes your instructor will give you an idea to begin an assignment, and other times your instructor will ask you to come up with a topic on your own. A good topic not only covers what an assignment will be about but also fits the assignments purpose and its audience.

The first important step is to tell yourself why you are writing (to inform, to explain, or some other purpose) and for whom you are writing. Write your purpose and your audience on a sheet of paper, and keep the paper close by as you read and complete exercises in this chapter
The following checklist can help you decide if your narrowed topic is a good topic for your assignment.
Am I interested in this topic?
Would my audience be interested?
Do I have prior knowledge or experience with this topic? If so, would I be comfortable exploring this topic and sharing my experiences?
Do I want to learn more about this topic?
Is this topic specific?
Does it fit the length of the assignment?
Can I achieve the assignments purpose with this topic?
With your narrowed focus in mind, answer the bulleted questions in the checklist for developing a good topic. If you can answer yes to all the questions, then you have a good topic. If you answer no to any of the questions, think about another topic or adjust the one you have and try the prewriting strategies again.
Using Experience and Observations
When selecting a topic, you may also want to consider something that interests you or something based on your own life and personal experiences. Even everyday observations can lead to interesting topics. After writers think about their experiences and observations, they often take notes on paper to better develop their thoughts. These notes help writers discover what they have to say about their topic.
Reading
Reading plays a vital role in all the stages of the writing process, but it first figures in the development of ideas and topics. Different kinds of documents can help you choose a topic and also develop that topic. For example, a magazine advertising the latest research on the threat of global warming may catch your eye in the supermarket. This cover may interest you, and you may consider global warming as a topic. Or maybe a novels courtroom drama sparks your curiosity of a particular lawsuit or legal controversy.
After you choose a topic, critical reading is essential to the development of a topic. While reading almost any document, evaluate the authors point of view by thinking about his/her main idea and support. When you judge the authors argument, you discover more about not only the authors opinion but also your own. If this step already seems daunting, remember that even the best writers need to use prewriting strategies to generate ideas.
Prewriting strategies depend on your critical reading skills and your level of effort. You can use prewriting exercises (and outlines and drafts later in the writing process) to further develop your topic and ideas.
Freewriting
Freewriting is an exercise in which you write freely about any topic for a set amount of time (usually three to five minutes). During the time limit, you may jot down any thoughts that come to your mind. Try not to worry about grammar, spelling, or punctuation. Instead, write as quickly as you can without stopping. If you get stuck, just copy the same word or phrase over and over until you come up with a new thought.
Writing often comes easier when you have a personal connection with the topic you have chosen. Remember, to generate ideas in your freewriting, you may also think about readings that you have enjoyed or that have challenged your thinking. Doing this may lead your thoughts in interesting directions.
Quickly recording your thoughts on paper will help you discover your position on a topic. When writing quickly, try not to doubt or question your ideas. Allow yourself to write freely and unselfconsciously. Once you start writing with few limitations, you may find you have a clearer position than you first realized. Your flow of thoughts can lead you to discover even more ideas about the topic. Freewriting may even lead you to discover another topic that excites you even more.
Asking Questions
Who? What? Where? When? Why? How?
In everyday situations, you pose these kinds of questions to obtain more information. Who will be my partner for the project? When is the next meeting? Why is my car making that odd noise? Even the title of this chapter begins with the question How do I begin?
You seek the answers to these questions to gain knowledge, to better understand your daily experiences, and to plan for the future. Asking these types of questions will also help you with the writing process. As you choose your topic, answering these questions can help you revisit the ideas you already have and generate new ways to think about your topic. You may also discover aspects of the topic that are unfamiliar to you and that you would like to learn more about. All these idea-gathering techniques will help you plan for future work on your assignment.

Creative Prewriting Techniques
The textbook English for Business Success explains that the prewriting techniques of freewriting and asking questions can help you think more about your topic; however, you have more strategies available to you, some less linear and more creative, to help you begin your writing journey. These include brainstorming, idea mapping, and searching the Internet.
Brainstorming
Brainstorming is similar to list making. You can make a list on your own or in a group with your classmates. Start with a blank sheet of paper (or a blank computer document) and write your general topic across the top. Underneath your topic, make a list of more specific ideas. Think of your general topic as a broad category and then list items that fit in that category. Often you will find that one item can lead to the next, creating a flow of ideas that can help you narrow your focus to a more specific paper topic.
Idea Mapping
Idea mapping allows you to visualize your ideas on paper using circles, lines, and arrows. This technique is also known as clustering because ideas are broken down and clustered, or grouped together. Many writers like this method because the shapes show how the ideas relate or connect, and writers can find a focused topic from the connections mapped. Using idea mapping, you might discover interesting connections between topics that you had not thought of before.
Idea Map
To create an idea map, start with your general topic in a circle in the center of a blank sheet of paper. Then write specific ideas around it and use lines or arrows to connect them together. Add and cluster as many ideas as you can.
Searching the Internet
Using search engines on the internet is a good way to see what kinds of websites are available regarding your topic. Writers use search engines not only to understand more about the topics specific issues but also to get better acquainted with their audience.
When you search the internet, type some keywords from your broad topic or words from your narrowed focus into your browsers search engine (many good general and specialized search engines are available for you to try). Then look over the results for relevant and interesting articles.
Not all the results that online search engines return will be useful or reliable. CNMs Library offers additional information on evaluating online sources. Give careful consideration to the reliability of an online source before selecting a topic based on it. Remember that factual information can be verified in other sources, both online and in print. If you have doubts about any information you find, either do not use it or identify it as potentially unreliable. For more information, you can either visit the following CNM Libraries link:

Narrowing the Focus
Narrowing the focus means breaking up the topic into subtopics, or more specific points. Generating several subtopics will help you eventually select the ones that fit the assignment and appeal to you and your audience. For a more extended discussion of how to narrow down a papers focus, check out the Research Process Chapter.

Case # 1
You are working in a long-term care facility with your client Mr. M that experienced a stroke leaving him paralyzed on one side with expressive aphasia. His health insurance coverage for long-term care is only 180 days (total) per calendar year. When Mr. M arrived, the team met to coordinate services with the goal to discharge him home before the180 day limit was reached. Evaluating and measuring his progress has been difficult as they have experienced multiple problems. This has led to Mr. M. being readmitted on one occasion then returning to the long-term care facility. You are the care coordinator and need to be current on what is, and has been, happening across all settings to make sure his care is equitable and of high value to his outcome.
Address the following questions and provide evidence to support them from our course materials or outside readings in your main post
1.Mr. Ms problems required a readmission to the hospital within the first 20 days at your facility. What are the economic issues for him? Could this be a breakdown of the care coordination team? What steps could have been initiated to maintain Mr. Ms health so as not to have to be readmitted?

2. You are one of the nurses working on the team with the care coordinator for Mr. M. at the long-term care facility. You just started back to school to get your BSN. Two topics that you cant figure out include the BSN in 10 and how Maryland all payer system works. In talking with another student from a different state that student never heard of either. Another topic you are learning about is the Carnegie Report regarding nursing education. Could any or all of these changes/topics impact the care of Mr. M? Why or why not?

Case # 2
Andrew, a 17-year-old, is a talented baseball player. He plays 3rd base for a local high school and has a great batting average. Because Andrew is so accomplished, he is hoping for a full athletic scholarship to the state university. He plans to pursue a degree in engineering or computer science. He is the oldest of three children. He is active in his church and community. His father works two part-time jobs and his mother is unemployed.
Today Andrew is practicing with the high school baseball team. A baseball hits him in his head. He falls to the ground and becomes non-responsive.
The baseball coach calls an ambulance and Andrew is taken to the local emergency room. In the emergency room, Andrew is non-responsive and his breathing is labored necessitating intubation. He has a large laceration on his back because of the fall. He is stabilized and transferred to the medical intensive care unit (MICU). The hospitalist managing the MICU admits Andrew and immediately orders an interprofessional care team consultation.
Address the following questions regarding this case and provide evidence to support it
Andrews family is having a great deal of difficulty dealing with Andrews condition. They are told that he needs further tests. One is to determine whether his brain is still functioning. As you apply the principles of patient advocacy keep in mind Andrews outcome could be good or not so good and the family is struggling. How would you use advocacy in this situation for Andrew, family, friends, and care providers?
In the unit where Andrew is located there is a white board the staff use. It lists Andrews name, diagnosis, room number, and important activities for the shift. How might this be a HIPAA violation or a confidentiality issue?
Some of the nurses caring for Andrew keep their smartphones with them at work. Some get on social media while at work. One nurse takes a picture of Andrew and his family and posts it on social media. What are the ramifications for protected health information (PHI). Since it seems to be a normal today for social media to be a method to communicate do you think this helps or hurts (PHI).
Case study 3
Mr. Gold is a patient in your rural ICU and for the past 4 months. He is on a vent and is paralyzed from ALS.
The only real movement is that he can blink his eyes. At times when you are caring for him he appears to be crying and it is disturbing to you because he cannot readily communicate. His wife comes in daily and asks many questions about how he is doing and has a hard time not crying.
The physician orders many daily tests. You wonder why since Mr. Gold certainly will not recover from this devastating disease.
One day the wife comes in demanding to have Mr. Gold removed from the vent.
The Pulmonologist orders a weaning trial; which Mr. Gold fails. You attempt to log into the computer to review his data, however the computer system is down.
Without access to the computer system containing Mr. Golds information, you are concerned as you need it to understand what is going on.
Address one of the following questions regarding this case and provide evidence to support it from .
How could you apply one or more aspects of the Scope and Standards of Practice, Code of ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements and patient advocacy to Mr. Golds case?
In terms of malpractice, you wonder whether there is a possibility of malpractice or negligence in Mr. Golds case. You decide to investigate to learn more by watching the Quaid video. In thinking about malpractice, what elements appear obvious in the Quaid video, or do they? What were the underlying issues in this case? What could apply to Mr. Gold as well as the Quaids? Explain each and defend with evidence.
Computer systems can go down without warning, though infrequently. This can impact the care for Mr. Gold or any patient you are caring for in any setting. What would be alternatives necessary in caring for Mr. Gold in such a situation so you can meet his and Mrs. Golds needs?

STANDARDS COMPARISON
Purpose: The purpose of this assingment is to compare three sets of standards to determine the uniqueness of each set of standards and identify the standard, which is the most strict or the most restrictive.
Method: Each student is given three sets of standards: Conditions of Participation (C of P), Illinois Hospital Licensure (IHL), and the Joint Commission. Students will compare each of the standards and provide answers to the questions on the assignment sheet.

Conditions of Participation (C of P): Federal Standards for mandatory compliance by hospitals who receive Medicare and/or Medicaid reimbursement.

Joint Commission: Voluntary compliance with standards to demonstrate quality services are provided and to insure payment by third party payers.

Compare each of the three sets of standards with one another and respond to the questions on the assignment sheet using the strictest interpretation of the standard.

Assignment Overview & Purpose:
You are going to be watching two 50 min. videos length, and writing a reflection that analyzes presidential action of Bush and Obama in order to assess the development of executive authority, and analyze constitutionality. I have provided you with multiple objectives, relative to this topic. You will select 1, from those provided, below, to write your response.
The purpose of this assignment is two fold. First, it provides you with resources that can be used for future independent research outside of the reading and writing methods–especially useful for those of you audio and visual learners. Second, it gives you an inside look into two Presidential administrations that have been surrounded by bias and partisan media criticism and praise. Now that you have a better understanding of executive authority it is time for you to apply what you have learned, as evidence, to analyze presidential power in relation to modern political debates of “constitutionality of action” from you own personal perspective.
Formatting Requirements and Submission Instructions
When writing your essay, respond to the prompt thoroughly, and completely. Essays must be a minimum of 2 pages in length, double spaced, 1 inch margins, 12 point font, and written in Times New Roman.
Your response should be your own thoughts and analysis. Research and resources should be incorporated with scholarly application. I.e. used as examples or evidence to support your analysis. Citations may be formatted in APA, MLA or Chicago style, as long as they are consistent throughout. You must include in-text (parenthetical) citations, as well as a bibliography.If you have questions about citation formatting, please ask me, or utilize the tool easybib.com. You must provide in-text citations, to show ownership of any information that you include, in your essay, which is either
1. not considered common knowledge
2. paraphrased
3. directly quoted
Failure to cite information, properly, will result in students receiving an automatic zero. Furthermore, to not do so is considered plagiarism, and will be treated, as such, in conjunction with HCC’s policies.
Completion Expectations
A papers should include a critical analysis of the videos by applying at least 1 example from each film to support your position.
A bibliography, references or works cited page, must accompany submission. This page does not count towards the minimum length, of the paper. Students must provide proper in-text (parenthetical) citations. Failure to cite paraphrased work or direct quotes, from the original work, thoughts and/or ideas of someone, other than your own, will result in an automatic 0, with no make-up work being accepted.

Response Objectives:
You may choose from one of the following objectives to write you response to.
1. Compare the strategies implemented by the Bush and Obama administration; and apply these as examples to explain presidential discretion and prerogative.
2. Explain the development of executive power, applying examples of executive behavior implemented, during the Obama and/or Bush observed from the movies, to assess the nature of conflict or conformity with the framer’s intent and what they envisioned for this officeholder’s power when writing the Constitution.
3. After watching the movie(s) apply what you learned to defend your interpretation of Article II in relation to types, limitation, or necessary conditions presidential power by assessing if informal powers, outside of the constitution, exist; or if what is enumerated is what the president has executive authority to do.

Research a medical care system that is provided within a foreign country (not in the United States). For example, you can conduct an Internet search by looking up phrases such as health care in Germany”.
Once you have examined the medical care system in that country, address the following questions in your essay:

-Provide a brief introduction. What country did you select, and how do they provide medical care to citizens
-What do they offer or do not offer when compared to the United States system? Does their system appear more ethical?
-What workplace laws or regulations are in place? How does law impact health care professionals of that country?
-Do you believe their laws contradict or support the professional obligations of a medical provider? What parameters are in place to address topics such as death and dying, quality of life issues, or right to life issues?
-As a leader in the medical community, do you believe that having free health care is a basic human right and you should advocate for free medical care? Support your position with an example based on legal or ethical perspectives.

Support your essay with at least two references from the CSU Online Library. Your essay must be at least two pages in length, not counting the title or reference pages. Adhere to APA Style when constructing this assignment, including in-text citations and references for all sources that are used. Please note that no abstract is needed.

In a 3 to 5-page, APA-formatted, written report, address the following issues:
In regard to the hypothetical firm you previously referenced in your response to CLA1 (Apple company marketing strategies, attach below) , describe the manner in which you would proceed if your product/service is quickly accepted by the local marketplace and you decide to market it globally in two very different countries.

Explain:
(a) the anticipated varied acceptance of your product/service in the two targeted countries and
(b) what changes you would make in the product/service if any, to accommodate the cultural differences.

3.1 Rhetorical reading
Choose one scholarly, peer reviewed article or one article from a professional or trade organization in your field. The article should be an article that your are considering using for your annotated bibliography later in the semester. The article might be the same article you chose for the summary activity that will be completed this week.
Based on the reading you completed this week about rhetorical reading, answer the following questions:
What is the exigence of the article? How do you know? Paste the section you think provides the clearest example of exigence.
Who is the audience for the article? How do you know?
What are some of the constraints of the argument the article makes? Provide specific examples of how the disciplinary context, publication outlet, structure of the article, etc., constrain and shape the argument the author makes.
Using the rhetorical triangle, briefly show how the argument is framed within appeals to ethos, pathos, and logos. Provide a specific example within the text to show the type of appeal the article makes to the reader.

3.2 Summaries
Choose one scholarly, peer reviewed article or one article from a professional or trade organization in your field. The article should be an article that your are considering using for your annotated bibliography later in the semester.
First, post a summary of the article you have selected.
Second, based on your posting and on the reading you completed this week, answer the following questions:
How did you decide what to exclude and what to include in the summary? What dod you leave out? Why?
What tone and purpose did you choose was most appropriate for the summary?
What changes would you make if you decide to use this article in the annotated bibliography (instructions to the annotated bibliography may be found in the Course Documents folder)?
Third, comment on another students post. Are you able to determine the purpose, tone, and context of the summary? Why or why not?

Need a 1250-1500 essay on the role of artificial intelligence in combating money laundering. Scholarly IEEE references required. An argument needs to be developed about the topic.
