In this Final Assignment, you will submit a “Question and Answer” format paper to demonstrate your learning of the following course objectives: Summarize major theories of child development. Describe the impact of multiple factors on development and well-being, including those related to biology, environment, and social interactions. Identify the typical progression of development across all domains. Differentiate between characteristics of typical and atypical development. Apply objective and ethical techniques and skills when observing, interviewing, describing, and evaluating behavior in children. Analyze major developmental milestones for children from conception through adolescence in the areas of physical, social-emotional, cognitive, language, and moral development. Apply knowledge of development and major theoretical frameworks to child observations.
IMAGINE THIS: You are a parent educator and you opened up Q & A during your monthly parent meeting. This month’s topic is “Relax, It’s Just Parenting.” You were faced with the following questions and you were proud of yourself for how you answered the questions not only with empathy and sensitivity but also with a wealth of knowledge and expertise. V. Adolescence (10 points) Q: You will create a question from a grandparent who is dealing with a 15-year-old. You may choose or not to designate if this teenager is male or female. Your question should be about a topic under ANY DOMAIN. You may choose more than one domain. A: You will answer the question as a parent educator citing information that you learned from class.
