compare and contrast Death of a Salesman (arthur miller) and Of Mice and Men (John Steinbeck)

the american dream signifies the ability of any citizen to achieve material prosperity. in more recent times the american dream for some means the right to choose to live a simpler or more fulfilling lifestyle. in either case the dream’s foundation is its universal achievability.
In Of mice and men (arthur miller) and Death of a salesman (john steinbeck) the authors present two versions of the american dream. in a developed essay compare and contrast these literary works by commenting on: the characters’ perception of the american dream, their obstacles to achieving the american dream, and the isolating impact of chasing the often elusive american dream. In both works the american dream is shown through edenic references.
external problems in of mice and men. internal problems in death of a salesman.
an intro that i somewhat started writing is copied below:
The American Dream is the ideal of equality of opportunities, however, opportunities and dreams can be thwarted by both internal and external forces. The novella, Of Mice and Men, written by John Steinbeck, and the play Death of A Salesman, written by Arthur Miller, demonstrate two different examples of unrealized dreams. George and Lennie, characters in Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men, fail to achieve their dream due to birth and societal circumstances. By contrast Willy Loman, a character in Miller’s Death of A Salesman, cannot attain his dream because of his own choices and his delusions of the achievability of the American Dream.

Task: Use the Universal Design for Learning guidelines to plan an accessible learning activity.

Task: Use the UDL guidelines to plan an accessible learning activity.

A learning activity is a single activity that students can do as part of a regular class period. It could be a group activity or an individual assignment. It is OK to use a pre-made activity and modify it using UDL principles and accessibility strategies.

Examples of learning activities:
Whole class vocabulary review activity for the water cycle
Students work in pairs to solve word problems related to single-digit addition

Individual students present reports on an animal that they’ve been researching

Your lab should include the following:
Share the grade level and subject area

Create a learning objective for the activity (What do you want students to learn from the activity?)
Share a detailed descriiption of the activity (What will the teacher do? What will the students do?)

Cite the source of the base activity (If you created your own activity, you can attribute it yourself.)

List the options that you will provide to students for multiple means of representation

List the options that you will provide to students for multiple means of engagement

List the options that you will provide to students for multiple means of action & expression

Describe at least three ways that you would make the learning materials and content accessible

Recommend one assistive technology device or tool that could be used by one or more students to be able to fully participate in the activity and/or to be able to fully access the content

Make recommendations for what a paraprofessional should do during the activity to support one or more learners and foster their independence.

Effect of Diet and Time Management on the Afternoon Productivity Performance

The draft I wrote is not enough to be a final paper, so I think it needs to go into a lot of revisions, basically, all you need to do is revise the draft I wrote and then start from scratch with the results and discussion section. You can refer to the sample article to make changes to my draft. Also, I need the R code file. Upload your paper file along with a clean version of your R code. Thank you!

2nd version – Counterargument

Respond to one of the prompts below in an essay outline with a complete counterargument paragraph. Your outline should include ONLY the follow elements:

-A unified thesis statement with a clear position, claim, and claim clarification

-Three precise topic sentences with a clear subject, controlling idea, and claim

-Two concise quotations for each topic sentence cited

-One fully developed counterargument paragraph that presents a reasonable counterclaim to one of the topic sentence claims and neutralizes that counterclaim with a refutation that supports the original topic sentence claim

Answer this Prompt: According to early Christianity and Islam, what role, if any, do good works play in one’s path to justification?
BOOKS ALLOWED: Use any or all of the following texts: Mark, Matthew 5-7, Galatians, The Passion of Saints Perpetua and Felicity, Ibn Ishaq’s Life of Muhammad, Quran.

Assignment Checklist:

-Thesis takes a position: Do early Christian and Islamic texts agree on issue X (i.e., topic of prompt)?

-Thesis makes a precise claim: Why or how do the texts agree or disagree on issue X? Note: Make sure that you are making an argument in your claim and not just listing observations or facts of the text.

-Thesis includes a claim clarification that establishes the overall significance or aim of the claim: What does the difference or similarity that you identified between early Christian and Islamic texts on issue X suggest about these two religions? If you do not include a clear claim clarification about the significance of the similarity or the difference that you are arguing for, then you run the risk of writing a split thesis

-Each topic sentence makes a precise claim about a similarity or difference between early Christianity and Islam. Each topic sentence identifies a sub-topic of issue X and functions as a sub-claim of the thesis.

-The topic sentences have a logical relationship and work together to support the thesis.

-Each topic sentence is supported by two quotations—one from an early Christian text and one from an Islamic text.

-There is a clear logical connection between the topic sentences and the evidence provided.

-The counterargument paragraph presents a potential counter-claim to one of the topic sentence claims and refutes it. The counterargument paragraph thus functions as additional support for the claim that precedes it.

It should be accommodated like in the attachment

Write a near miss accident investigation report

This plan is intended to be a project specific safety plan but in no way replaces any company
policies; nor does it replace or alter any OSHA standards.

STATEMENT OF POLICY
It is the policy of XXXX to provide a safe place to work for its employees and subcontractors.
Each of you has the responsibility to plan, organize and perform your work in the safest manner
possible, consistent with sound construction practices. You are to be constantly on the alert for
unsafe acts and conditions and correct them immediately. You are to ensure, through
indoctrination sessions, weekly toolbox meetings, and other special meetings that your people have
an individual awareness of their personal responsibility in creating and perpetuating an accident-
free working environment.

SAFETY PROGRAM OBJECTIVE
The objective of the Safety Program is ensure that NO ONE GETS HURT. Our company has
proven that SAFETY PAYS; it pays in reduced insurance cost and in increased productivity
achieved from working in a manner that allows for workmen piece of mind. Our goal is to have
everyone feel they can productively complete a day’s work without undue exposure to injury.

Safety is a full-time commitment. Too often, the tendency is to treat it as a subject that gets
addressed once a week at the toolbox meeting. This cannot be allowed to happen if we are to be
successful. Safety has to be the first thing we consider when planning and executing our work.

Module 2 – SLP DISTRIBUTION CHANNELS AND LAST MILE DELIVERY

A‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌ssignment Overview Mode of Domestic Transportation in Logistics Road, rail, marine, and air transport in U.S. logistics have been the main options. Today, newer technologies have expanded each of the categories beyond the usual alternatives. The Department of Transportation approved driverless technology for local delivery. The possibility of 30-minute delivery calls for the use of robots and drones. Some other tech is being patented and might be realized in the future. Other companies are looking at delivery robots. Even low-tech ideas like “cargo bikes” are being used in large cities. SLP Assignment Beginning with the background readings to provide a foundation, create a bullet list of the pros and cons of domestic road, rail, marine, and air transport in logistics. (Citations are required.) The list should be one, single-spaced page in length. Using research beyond the lecture and readings, provide two real-world examples of novel modes of delivery being used, tested, or proposed and how they could affect the industry regarding technology, workers, customer service, costs, etc. The discussion for each new technology should be three-quarters of a page in length. Resources should be no more than three years old for this case because the industry is changing rapidly, and the goal is to remain relevant throughout your career‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌. Module 2 SLP Background Readings The Future of the Movement of Goods (2019) The Business Value of Managed Transportation Services (2019) The Elevated Future of Mobility: What’s Next on the Horizon? (2019) Are Cities Ready with the Infrastructure Needed for Urban Air Transportation? (2019) Maritime Administration Awards $ Million in Grants for Marine Highway Projects Throughout the . (2019) Could Drone Deliveries Help the Environment? Let’s Unpack That (2019) Hunger Games: Managing Food Logistics Challenges When Demand Spikes (2019) Trucking & Freight Markets 360° (2019) Since you are engaging in research, be sure to cite and reference the sources in APA format. The paper should be written in the third person; this means words like “I,” “we,” and “you” are not appropriate. For more information, see Differences Between First and Third Person. The excessive use of quotes or unoriginal content will directly impact performance since it suggests lack of comprehension and indicates that a student may not have mastered the concepts. SLP Assignment Expectations Use the attached APA-formatted template (LOG302 SLP2) to create your submission. Your submission will include: Trident’s cover page A 2½-page paper with APA citations (2- or 3-sentence introduction, 2½-page body, and 2-‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌ or 3-sentence conclusion)
