Diversity, Benefits and Detriments of Microbes

Microbiology is both a basic and an applied science. It is not a single subject! It has many areas of specialization, including bacteriology, mycology (study of fungi), phycology (study of algae), virology, medical microbiology & immunology, public health, food microbiology, biotechnology, microbial genetics, and cell & molecular biology. In this assignment, we will discuss some of the various disciplines associated with microbiology!
Choose any microorganism related to either industrial or environmental microbiology with positive beneficial activity in this area and research it using credible academic sources.
Please discuss which microorganism you chose, what type of creature is it (virus, bacteria, etc.), where is it commonly found, what it consumes, what its positive role is in the particular microbiology field, and any other interesting information you find on your organism. You must also cite your credible academic reference sources and provide full end reference information in APA format.

Government writing assignment

350 words per each response, please copy each question above it’s correlating response.

1. Discuss the reasons why broadcast media is subject to more regulation than print media. What are the main regulatory challenges in managing content on the internet? Should the internet be regulated like broadcast media, or subject to fewer regulations, like print media?
2. he actions of policymakers, businesses, and individuals in response to the coronavirus pandemic demonstrate a different pattern of action than we see in response to environmental issues like climate change. What are the similarities and differences between the responses to the pandemic and responses to environmental concerns? How far should the government go in regulating the economy in the name of halting climate change? On a spectrum of “leave the solution entirely to the private sector” on one end to “halt all damaging economic activity even if it results in economic depression” on the other, where do students place themselves? How do they justify the trade-off, either in terms of potential environmental or economic catastrophe? Are there any lessons to be learned by governmental action in managing the pandemic that can be applied to environmental economics?
3. The American welfare state is very generous to some groups and much less generous to others. For example, the elderly receive many benefits from the welfare state, whereas young people receive relatively few benefits other than education. Likewise, the middle class enjoys many secure benefits, whereas the poor’s access to benefits is much less certain. How did these patterns of social welfare policy become established over time? In what ways do these benefit patterns reflect American values? Should these patterns be changed? Why or why not?
4. American foreign policy has in some ways changed dramatically and in other ways displayed remarkable consistency across the Bush, Obama, and Trump presidencies. How have the foreign policies of these administrations differed and how have they remained the same? What constraints are imposed on presidents when they try to change course from their predecessors? Do students prefer one president’s approach over the others? How have the foreign policy problems facing America changed across these presidential administrations?

research essay about the similarities of Harry Potter (book #1) and “Cinderella Stories”

First, the big thing: your research essay. What you submitted isn’t considered complete because you are missing 1 additional secondary resource. In using multiple Harry Potter novels (many of which aren’t included on the Works Cited page though quoted from in the body of the essay, you are building the project through literature. These pieces are the texts we analyze through literary-critical and other secondary sources. You can use as many literary texts as you want/need to, but you must have a minimum of 3 secondary materials that help you to analyze the literature. And, there are issues in the essay in terms of organization and development. When I re-read it again this morning, I noticed that the piece feels like 2 distinct projects, one that looks at Perrault’s “Cinderella” and its core themes, and one that flies through a few different Harry Potter books. There is a loose connection between the literature and the themes common to “Cinderella” stories, but the paragraph organization and thesis development don’t demonstrate a clear sense of purpose to the project. I also think you are trying to reply on a handful of snippets from a few HP texts without thinking about them as a whole. To get this essay up to at least a 2, you will need to do the following:

* create a thesis statement that visibly and clearly connects an aspect of Perrault’s “Cinderella” and an aspect of the Harry Potter story. For the size of this essay, it’s much better to choose one of the books from the series that you know well and use that to evolve your argument. All of the books work well for this purpose, but Book 1 is particularly strong in its connections to “Cinderella” story themes like transformation, reclaiming lost power, social hierarchies, the significance of fire literally and figuratively, and so on.

* organize the essay around points that support your argument from both pieces of literature, using secondary research to build your original perspective. You need to draft your body paragraphs so that they demonstrate not just a strong sense of the connection you see between the literature but also of the writing competencies we’ve worked on all semester, namely: evidence integration style and formatting and evidence analysis focusing on elements of literature and authorial intention. Use the Writing Tips and Tools Booklet to help you visualize the components. You could even create a template from it detailing everything that should be filled in for each paragraph, which some students find really helpful.

Social Work Practice 2

You must type both question and answer and also provide the page number from your textbook where your answer was retrieved.
