Sports App – Social media

Sports App

We have an application idea that would collect the sports characteristics of people who play sports such as tennis, football, golf, volleyball, basketball, etc. .. where you have to compete against each other or teams, who can download the App and create their profile by placing their physical characteristics and the level of their skills.
In this way a person who wants to play a tennis match, if he has no friend available, can find someone available in the area with the characteristics suitable for him. It can be seen as a cross between a simple App and a social network, as then people stay in touch, a bit like what happens on LinkedIn about work.

In order to provide these service we need to find all the places users can meet for tennis, football, baseball etc.
We are going to use “geoplaces” for it.

Please write 2 pages about how can we integrate geoplaces to our app and how it is going to be useful.

Next Generation Early Learning Standards

Read the Next Generation Standards: Early Learning Introduction.
On page 5, the authors state:
It is also a reminder that passive approaches such as seat work, worksheets, scripted programs, and rote learning are antithetical to a play-based paradigm for learning.”
Why do you think they thought this was an important point to highlight?
They go on to explain that:
Students with Disabilities (SWD), like their typically developing peers, rely on developmentally appropriate practices to meet Standards.
What is meant by developmentally appropriate practices for students with disabilities?
What can a teacher do to ensure these practices support all learners?

Business-driven decision-making exercise about evaluating Database as a Service (DAAS).

Ticketmaster is a global ticket retailer selling hundreds of millions of tickets to every type of show and venue with total revenue exceeding $8 billion/year. In 2010, it merged with Live Nation to become Live Nation Entertainment. Customer demand for tickets is very uneven with extremely high demand during the first hours of ticket availability for a popular event, followed by a significant decline in demand. This results in a very uneven demand on computing resources which is difficult to meet. In addition, any system downtime is extremely expensive and can result in lost sales approaching $1 million per hour.

The following article ATTACHED describes a successful DAAS migration by Ticketmaster (Inside Big Data: Ticketmaster)

However, all DAAS migration efforts are not this successful. Conduct a broader internet research to answer the 3 questions on the attached word doc. Ensure it is single spaced.

Build a Model: Free Cash Flows, EVA, and MVA

Begin with the partial model in the file Ch02 P21 Build a Model.xlsx on the textbook’s Web site.
Using the financial statements shown here for Lan & Chen Technologies, calculate net operating working capital, total net operating capital, net operating profit after taxes, free cash flow, and return on invested capital for 2020. The federal-plus-state tax rate is 25%.
Assume there were 15 million shares outstanding at the end of 2019, the year-end closing stock price was $65 per share, and the after-tax cost of capital was 10%. Calculate EVA and MVA for 2020.

Mission Statement Diagram

Either obtain your campus counseling mission statement or construct a school counseling
mission statement and build a diagram illustrating how the identified school counseling
mission statement is linked to the Campus Improvement Plan, District School Counseling
Mission Statement, the Texas Education School Counselling Mission Statement
(or local state) and the National School Counseling Mission Statement. It is required that
specific details of connection are illustrated. If connections cannot be identified note what
needs to be added or removed to create the necessary connections.

Clyde Barrow Case

On December 5, 1998, Clyde Barrow entered the Lone Star Bank in Hillsboro, Texas, pointed a gun at the first teller in line, and told her that he would “clean her clock” if she didn’t hand over all the cash in her drawer. The teller, Sherry Ann, complied, and at the same time pressed the emergency silent alarm alerting the police of the robbery. Clyde then pointed his gun full circle through the lobby of the bank and told the other banking customers to “get down and stay down” while he pulled Sherry at gunpoint to the vault to gather the remaining cash. Once Clyde had emptied the vault, he shoved Sherry onto the floor of the bank, breaking her arm, and exited the building. He then drove off but was apprehended a short time later in Bienville Parish, Louisiana.
Please discuss any intentional torts or crimes that Clyde Barrow could be charged with in this case, and please limit your response only to torts that were covered in this class. Do you believe the charges would be successful.
