Ben & Jerry’s Social Mission

The above video shows Ben & Jerry’s three-part mission. For this assignment, consider just Ben & Jerry’s social mission. Is it possible for is social mission to be considered a Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, and Threat, all at once?
Main Assignment:

you are going to complete a brief SWOT analysis of Ben & Jerry’s social mission. Your post should respond clearly to the following questions:
Who is the target audience(s) for the company’s social mission? Who are the stakeholders that the company cares about?
For these specific audiences, what is (at least) 1 Strength, 1 Weakness, 1 Opportunity, and 1 Threat facing the company as a result of embracing this social mission? Be sure to consider the perspective of different stakeholders you mentioned in the previous question. And, be sure your response reflects the correct marketing definition of what is considered a Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, or Threat.

importance of Effort:

Video 1- Importance of Effort:
In this video they described learning as a process that people usually think should or wish would be easy. However, effective learning that actually helps you to absorb information is supposed to be challenging. I completely agree with this statement. For the majority of my young adult life, I tended to take the path with least resistance, It wasn’t until I started pushing myself outside of my comfort zone with no only education by life in general that I truly started to learn new information and adapt as well.
Video 2- Metacognition in practice:
In this video, she is explaining how the learning process is also done through personal experience and making connections to information that is already known. When learning new information, it is helpful to try and make connections to the information you are learning to other information that is already known. I think the message they are trying to convey in this video is to not attempt to absorb information with the outlook of believing the only source of learning the information is through what is being provided in the given texts or video lectures, but to consider outside sources of information as well. These outside sources of information can be through your own personal knowledge as well as other means of sources such as friends, family and associates/ acquaintances.
Video 3- Cultivating a Growth Mindset (Ted Talk):
This video provided some very interesting perspective on how we perceive our ability to learn. Referring to a high school in Chicago, she described the grading system as showing when a student failed a course as it not being described as a failure, but that they have not passed yet (Not Yet). I think this is a great way to provide some hope for a student that may be struggling with a certain subject, by not labeling that struggle as a failure, but rather goal that has just not yet been achieved. This could help lay a foundation for a more positive mindset about learning in the future in all areas of life. We often times struggle with obstacles in life dealing family, friends, jobs, relationships and whenever something doesn’t go in our favor, it can be damaging to our confidence and it is easy to write up those experiences as failures. When in fact, we should be looking at all shortfalls in our lives as learning experiences that are only helping us learn as we go and that will eventually get us to the end goal we desire.

Please re-word this^.

Should freedom of speech be unrestricted but with consequences for actions such as the Jan. 6th insurrection? Can Trump’s behavior be related to either of the ethical decision-making frameworks discussed in Ch. 2?

Below is a prompt for your first personal reflection. I expect you to think about the topic, read some background on the issue, including Chs. 1 and 2, and develop a response. Although you are expected to read and may use concepts from the book, the content of your reflection should be primarily your personal thoughts and opinions. No political opinions are expected or prohibited in these reflections, i.e. you may include them or choose not to include them. Reflections should be approximately 300-500 words, typed into Canvas.
______________________________________________________________________________________-
Many of you have been inundated with news coverage of the Jan. 6th insurrection at the Capitol. However, you may not be aware that this was the first time the U.S. did not have a peaceful transfer of power from one administration to another, a hallmark of a democracy. Donald Trump is now suggesting that if he is prosecuted or if his companies are prosecuted, people should launch protests larger than Jan. 6th. Some people associated with groups who were protesting believe that these groups are inciting civil war.
Thinking in context of these protests, do you believe that freedom of speech should be completely unbounded, i.e. without restriction? Should freedom of speech be unrestricted but with consequences for actions such as the Jan. 6th insurrection? Can Trump’s behavior be related to either of the ethical decision-making frameworks discussed in Ch. 2?

Levels of Prevention

A 32-year-old female presents for an evaluation of a lump in her right breast that she found on breast self-examination. The lump is found to be 2cm in size, firm, and mobile. No Adenopothy noted.
What are two questions you would ask this patient?
What are two risk factors would you want to assess for?
What are the levels of prevention for this patient?

Individual Leadership Intervention Reflection Paper

In the past few weeks, you practiced observation skills by watching Invictus, a movie that tells “the inspiring true story of how Nelson Mandela joined forces with the captain of South Africa’s rugby team to help unite their country.” Newly elected President Mandela knows his nation remains racially and economically divided in the wake of apartheid. Believing he can bring his people together through the universal language of sport, Mandela rallies South Africa’s rugby team as they make their historic run to the 1995 Rugby World Cup Championship match.

While watching the film, you were instructed to pay special attention to the factors relating to group dynamics for teams, pick up three aspects from the following list as the roadmap in your three body paragraphs.

Leader’s behaviours,
Communication Patterns,
Conflict resolution style,
Power styles,
Problem-solving,
Decision-making style,
Creativity,
Power, Social influence,
Diversity,
Culture.
You were also instructed to identify interventions developed by different leaders in the film.

Every student writes his/her own paper to reflect on the following three questions:

Introduction: The introductory paragraph is usually brief (3-4 sentences). Simply introduce the theory or concepts in a general way. Include the leadership theory and theorist’s name/authors’ name, authors’ background, and write a one-sentence summary of it. You might include when it was developed if this is relevant, and you might list the parts or categories. Be sure to include citations for any background information you use. End your introduction with your thesis statement.
Background: Write one fairly short paragraph to summarize the case or situation. Summarize the movie’s background information, Nelson Mandela’s biography (from another credible source) and simply introduce the plot about the situation and the context (who, what, where, and when the story happens) and highlight the names of the main people involved. Don’t forget the movie’s citation.
In body paragraphs: find a keyword/name/situation from the movie then integrate with the leading theory of the textbook (Levi, 2017) Explain how the specific theoretical terms help you explain the problem or issue in the movie. Give detailed evidence and draw out the keywords from both theory and case. Don’t forget that case evidence typically needs to be described (paraphrased) but should include at least a short “quote” to demonstrate close attention to the case. Self-reflection. Add a concluding sentence that uses keywords from the paragraph sentence and summarizes the idea of the paragraph.
In the three body paragraphs, each body paragraph should respond to the following three questions:

Which leadership intervention has impressed you the most?
How does a leader contribute to the development of this intervention?
If you were that leader, do you think you could or would want to develop a different intervention?
Conclusion The paragraph is brief (3-4 sentences). Just restate your thesis (in a new, fresh way) and any conclusions you have drawn. Do not make any recommendations or add any new pieces.
APA 7th ed. Format & At least four references.

Economic and Social

Explain the economic, social, and political ways (cover each separately) America was changing internally from 1890-1900. Explain the economic, social, and political reasons why (again, cover each separately) America was becoming more involved overseas during this same period. Explain how and why some Americans were agreeing with all of these changes, while others were not.
In each short essay students are required to use at least one direct quote from the chapter reading assigned, correctly cited. Essays that do not have at least one direct quote from the textbook chapter will be penalized. Students may simply cite by providing the proper information this way (Foner, page number or numbers) – like this: (Foner, 733) or, if multiple pages, (Foner 735-6) .
While you must have at least one quote from the relevant textbook chapter to earn full credit for your essay, you can use more quotations, if you would like. Also, it is a good idea to have at least one citation at the end of every paragraph in your answer, even if there is no quote in that paragraph. Anytime you use any information from a source in a paragraph you need to have a citation somewhere in the paragraph showing where that information came from, even if it is not a direct quotation, otherwise it’s actually plagiarism.
