The final assignment requires you to self-assess the knowledge and skills you have acquired throughout this course. You will reflect on fundamental STEM in early childhood education concepts, best practices, tools, resources, class discussions and implemented activities. In writing, you will demonstrate the knowledge and skills you gained through research and applications of the STEM course topics. You will have two weeks (Units 6 and 7) to compile a written report comprised of the following 8 components.

Describe two benefits to children’s development and learning that are gained through family and community involvement. 5. Math Talk Outdoors
In Unit 5, you examined authentic play in both indoor and outdoor environments as a critical best practice underlying children’s learning of STEM concepts. Articulate how you used the outdoor playground environment in Unit 5 to promote children’s meaningful “math talk”. In the Unit 6 discussion, you provisioned an environment with new and/or repurposed materials to direct child interest, inquiry and problem solving about a topic. In Unit 7 you explored KWHL charts. Reflect on how KWHL charts are used to involve children in planning STEM inquiries that engage their interests, curiosity and inform the design of learning centers. Design an experiment.
Don’t focus on the technical aspects of how to measure something. For example, say you are
interested in seeing how a molecule affects the brain, with the hypothesis that the molecule reduces
some activity in a region of the brain. In your experiment, you can simply say you introduce a 1x
amount of the molecule, a 2x amount, a 3x or 4x amount, etc…. and you then measure activity in
the brain using imaging equipment. You can also say your molecule has a tracer (like an isotope, e.g.)
so you can follow where it accumulates. Notice you do not have to specify the molecule, the tracer,
or the way you are measuring the effect. You can then give the results (e.g. there was no change in
the region of the brain, but the molecule also failed to accumulate in that region, so it was either not
transported or was metabolized/degraded).
Model systems are a good way to do research. Examples include using cells where you might follow
a response cells have to a new medication. Or using other organisms and non-human animals – for
example, genetic studies often use everything from bacteria and yeast, to worms, fish, mice, etc…
Because this is a thought experiment, and because ethics is less a consideration, these are options to
think about but aren’t things you need to include.

A thorough legal standard operating policies and procedures (SOP) document is the foundation of a good business continuity plan. Standard operating procedures and polices provide the roadmap for management and staff to follow. These steps become the backbone of the business continuity plan, and they must govern every aspect of your chosen company.
Using the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) – Phase 1 content developed in CYB-515, design a 4- to 6-page manual presenting the legal standard operating policies and procedures to describe incidents including fire evacuation, ransomware attack, power outage, and pandemic situations.

Part 3: Incident Response
Once an adverse event that has targeted a business is confirmed, it is labeled as an incident. That is the time to activate the incident response plan.
